Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team’s Jonny Walker delivered a standout performance at round six of the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, claiming second overall at his and Triumph’s home round in Newcastle, United Kingdom. Competing aboard the TF 450-E in front of a passionate home crowd, Walker secured his fifth podium finish of the season and strengthened his hold on second place in the championship standings heading into the final round.

Walker opened the evening with third in SuperPole, setting the tone for the night despite racing with an injured hand sustained at the previous round. In race one, he launched well from the gate to run third through the opening corners before settling into a strong rhythm while chasing the leaders. Locked in a close contest for second during the early stages, Jonny maintained clean and controlled laps under pressure. Capitalising on a late mistake from a rival, he moved into second in the closing stages and brought his TF 450-E home to a rousing reception from the Newcastle crowd.

Race two featured the reverse-grid format, with Jonny starting from the second row but once again making a sharp getaway to emerge third through the opening lap. By the end of lap one, he had moved into the lead and began pushing hard at the front. A fierce battle for victory followed, with positions changing under relentless pressure from the championship leader. Remaining composed and mistake-free, Walker delivered a faultless ride to secure a hard-earned race win on home soil. In race three, he started second and settled into a strong position near the front, ultimately crossing the line in third, a result that sealed second overall on the night for the Brit.

With another runner-up overall finish, Walker maintains second in the SuperEnduro World Championship standings after six of seven rounds and holds a 13-point advantage heading into the season finale. The championship concludes on March 7 in Douai, France, where Jonny and the Triumph Factory Racing Enduro Team will look to end their 2026 campaign on a high.

Jonny Walker

“We’ve just finished up here in Newcastle and it was a tough battle, especially coming in with a broken bone in my hand. I’m really pleased to come away with a race win and second overall though. I managed to extend my lead over Mitch a little in the championship, and with one round to go, we’ll give it everything to get it done next weekend.”
